Terms of Service

1. CarHub Barbados is a Marketplace

CarHub Barbados operates as an online marketplace that connects buyers, sellers, dealers, mechanics, and parts stores. We are not a party to any transaction between users. We do not own, inspect, warrant, or guarantee any vehicle, part, or service listed on the platform. Any contract for the sale or purchase of a vehicle, part, or service is made directly between the buyer and the seller; CarHub Barbados has no liability in respect of that contract.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or use the CarHub Barbados platform. By registering, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and that all information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.

3. Seller Responsibilities

Sellers are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy, completeness, and honesty of all listing information, including vehicle history, condition, mileage, and pricing.
• Ensuring they have the legal right to sell the item listed.
• Responding promptly and honestly to enquiries from prospective buyers.
• Complying with all applicable Barbados laws relating to the sale of motor vehicles and parts.

CarHub Barbados does not verify the accuracy of listing content and accepts no responsibility for inaccuracies or omissions.

4. Prohibited Listings and Conduct

The following are strictly prohibited on the CarHub Barbados platform:

• Listing of stolen vehicles, stolen parts, or any item obtained through unlawful means.
• Fraudulent, deceptive, or deliberately misleading listings, descriptions, or photographs.
• Listing items that are prohibited from sale under Barbados law.
• Using the platform to facilitate money laundering, fraud, or any other criminal activity.
• Posting personal contact information of third parties without their consent.
• Creating multiple accounts to circumvent a suspension or ban.
• Scraping, crawling, or automated access to the platform without our prior written consent.

CarHub Barbados reserves the right to remove any listing and suspend or permanently ban any account that we reasonably believe violates these prohibitions, without prior notice and without refund of any fees paid.

5. Verified Dealer, Mechanic, and Parts Store Status

Dealers, mechanics, and parts stores may apply for a Verified badge on their account. By submitting a verification request, you confirm that:

• All business registration information provided, including your BRA (Barbados Revenue Authority) registration number and trading name, is accurate and current.
• You are authorised to represent the business you are registering.
• You will notify CarHub Barbados if your business registration status changes.

Submitting false or misleading information in a verification request is grounds for immediate permanent suspension of your account.

6. Reviews and Ratings

Users may leave reviews and star ratings for mechanics and parts sellers. By submitting a review you agree that:

• Your review is based on a genuine, first-hand experience.
• Your review is honest, accurate, and not defamatory.
• You will not submit fake, paid, or incentivised reviews.
• Your review does not contain personal attacks, hate speech, or inappropriate language.

CarHub Barbados uses automated profanity filtering on all submitted reviews. We reserve the right to remove any review that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these standards. Deleted reviews are logged for audit purposes.

7. Intellectual Property

The CarHub Barbados name, logo, and platform design are the intellectual property of CarHub Barbados. By uploading photos or other content to the platform, you grant CarHub Barbados a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content on the platform in connection with your listing. You retain ownership of your content. CarHub Barbados does not claim any ownership rights over listing photos or descriptions you create.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CarHub Barbados and its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for:

• Any disputes arising between buyers and sellers in connection with a transaction.
• The accuracy, quality, legality, safety, or availability of any listing.
• Loss or damage arising from your use of or inability to use the platform.
• Unauthorised access to your account where you have failed to keep your credentials secure.
• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage of any kind.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time via Account Settings. Upon deletion, all your personal data, listings, and uploaded images are permanently removed from our systems.

CarHub Barbados may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these Terms or that continued access poses a risk to other users or the integrity of the platform.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Barbados. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Barbados.
